  • 00:00: We crochet the knit-cable hat. I crocheted two version of this hat. I crocheted the white hat using the yarn 225m/100g (246yds/100g) I crocheted the small grey hat using the yarn 110m/100g (120yds/100g)
  • 00:35: I like this grey hat.
  • 01:10: Do 6 Puff Stitches in the first round if you crochet using thick yarn (120yds/100g).
  • 01:40: I will show how to do this raised ridge on the crochet fabric. I didn't do an elastic band at the end of crocheting this grey hat.
  • 02:00: I crocheted this white hat using thin yarn (246yds/100g) I like this hat but don't like this big holes on the crochet fabric.
  • 02:31: You can reduce this holes if you will pull the yarn and reduce the loops. This pattern helps us to get elastic crochet fabric of the hat. I did 8 Puff Stitches in the first round to crochet the white and multicolor hats.
  • 04:38: Make the Magic Ring. Pull up the loop. We will do a Puff Stitch. *Yarn over, pull up loop* - 3 times
  • 05:13: Yarn over and draw through the all loops on the hook. Yarn over and draw through the loop on the hook. Do the same until you get 8 Puff Stitches if you use a THIN YARN.
  • 05:34: If you use a THICK YARN you need to do: *Yarn over, pull up loop* - only 2 time. Yarn over and draw through the all loops on the hook. Yarn over and draw through the loop on the hook. If you use a thick yarn you need to do 6 Puff Stitches in the first round.
  • 06:49: Connect over the first Puff Stitch. There are 8 Puff Stitches in thie first round.
  • 07:10: Round №2: Do 2 Puff Stitches over each stitch of the previous round.
  • 07:40: We will get 2 Puff Stitches over 1 Puff Stitch of the previous round.
  • 08:38: There are 8 Double Puff Stitches in the round. Connect over the first Puff Stitch of this round.
  • 09:00: We will add Dc1 between two neighboring Double Puff Stitches of the previous round. Do Double Puff Stitch over Double Puff Stitch of the previous round.
  • 09:35: Then do Dc1 in the space between two neighboring Double Puff Stitches of the previous round. Then Do Double Puff Stitch over the next Double Puff Stitch of the previous round.
  • 10:09: Then do Dc1 in the space between two neighboring Double Puff Stitches of the previous round. Complete the round. The end of the round: do Dc1 in the space between two neighboring Double Puff Stitches
  • 10:38: Connect over the first Puff Stitch of this round Round №3 *Do Double Puff Stitch over Double Puff Stitch of the previous round.

  • 11:45: This is the increase of this round. Do the same (* and **) to the end of the round.

  • 17:30: and multiply by the number of repeats. We need to stop making the increases if we want to get the hat for head size 44cm. But I crochet for head size 49-50cm. I need to continue making the increases. Do Double Puff Stitch over Double Puff Stitch of the previous round
  • 18:02: Do one increase between each two neighboring Double Puff Stitches.
  • 18:40: Continue to crochet the increases pattern until you get desired size of the circle. Continue to crochet the increases pattern until you get desired size of the circle.
  • 19:25: I get my desired size.
  • 19:30: Then i will crochet the pattern without any increases. Do Double Puff Stitch over Double Puff Stitch of the previous round Do BpDc1 over BpDc1 of the previous round
  • 20:05: Do the same to the end of the round.
  • 20:30: Crochet the pattern until you get desired depth of the hat. The depth of my hat is 16cm. I will crochet an elastic band. Total depth will be 19-20cm.
  • 21:04: Crochet the round before the elastic band. ch1 and do Sc1 in each stitch of the round. Do Sc1 over Puff Stitch... in the space... over Puff Stitch... over each BpDc...
  • 21:42: over the stitch before Puff Stitch... and repeat.
  • 22:05: Connect in the beginning chain. Ch3 Do BpDc1 over each Sc1 of the previous round.
  • 22:51: This is the raised ridget on the crochet fabric.
  • 23:08: Connect in the third beginning chain. Begin to crochet the elastic band. ch3, Do FpDc1, BpDc1, BpDc1
  • 23:48: then FpDc1, BpDc1, BpDc1 to the end of the round.
  • 24:32: Connect in the third beginning chain. ch3, Do FpDc1 over FpDc1 of the previous roundDo BpDc1 over BpDc1 of the previous round
  • 25:10: Do the same until the height of the elactic band is 4-5 cm.
